Here are three tips to consider before using your pool heater in the cool season.
1. Bypass: If your heater has a bypass option make sure that it is off, so that the water circulates into the heater and out to your pool.
2. Flow: To operate, the heater needs to have proper flow of water. A worn out filter cartridge can bring up flow issues. If your cartridge is old, buy a new one. A dirty filter can also impede the flow.
3. Double check: We recommend turning your heater on every two months during the warm season to make sure everything is in working order. Also consider turning the heater on two weeks in advance of any party to have sufficient time to fix it if something is wrong.
