Celebrate Mom With A Poolside Brunch

With Mother’s day around the corner, we want to give you some tips on how to host a poolside brunch honoring the mothers in your family. Let mom sleep late and then have her sit at the table and relax in her swimsuit as she gets all the attention.

Decor

You don’t have to go crazy with the decor. Plan ahead and buy fresh flowers and a nice flowery table cloth. Pick your favorite pastel color paper plates and cups at your local party planing shop. Whenever we host a party we also light a Candles By Janet hand-poured soy massage candle to help set the mood with a pleasant smell.

Beverages

Brew coffee or hot tea, whatever mom prefers. Freshly brewed ice tea is a refreshing alternative, you can do an iced green tea or a flavor iced tea like mango or passionfruit. We personally love the teas sold by Desert Sage. If you want to spice things up you can also do mimosas with any good quality bubbly wine like a champaign, cava or prosecco and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Rosé wine is another good option, we recommend Trumpeter Reserve Rosé de Malbec.

Food

Do as much food prep as you can. Buy or set up a cheese and cold cut board. Do a fruit salad. Get fresh pastries from Atelier Monnier or your favorite bakery. Now if you feel up to the challenge you can cook our favorite pancake recipe. Just make sure you clean up so mom does not have to.

\"Pancake

After a good brunch let mom relax by the pool, listening to the sounds of the garden or mom’s favorite music. Have a towel and sunscreen ready. Happy Mother’s Day!
